Why do gas refrigerators cost so much more than regular ones?
I’m doing research on refrigerators but i can’t find any reason why a gas refrigerator is so much more expensive than a regular one. A 1.2 cu ft gas refrigerator can cost up to $1000 while regular refs of the same size are only $200. Why is this so?!?
Quantity. Companies make millions of electric fridges, but few gas operated ones.
I expect the liability (chance of exploding, and thus a lawsuit) is also higher.
